1 year agoA QRA launch from @RAFLossiemouth took place due to two Russian 'Bear' bombers, one of which was approaching UK airspace. The aircraft were monitored until the RAF intercepted and escorted them from the UK's area of interest, ensuring they did not enter UK airspace.

1 year agoUpon landing, one of the Typhoon pilots provided a report: "These Russian aircraft transiting the Baltic region were not on a recognised flight plan or communicating with Air Traffic Control. The intercept was uneventful and conducted in a professional manner throughout."
